As he and his mentor are tested by cases that pit them against ruthless drug lords, dangerous arms dealers, corrupt cops and deadly killers-for-hire, Dove also struggles with his own secret: he's being asked to cooperate with an FBI investigation of Barker, who's suspected of going rogue. And as Dove is pressured to become an informant, Barker launches his own investigation into a conspiracy within the Bureau that's protecting a secret cadre of agents operating outside the law.

This series was well-written and different from all the other police/FBI procedurals. Patrick Swayze's character was very charismatic, the plots were clever and the co-star was a bit odd, but grew on you. -- This series was excellent. Patrick Swayze was older and sexier even.
well sad that this was his last tv show or dvd he made what a great actor and man did his movies rock,
I have to say what good show, He did his own stunts and was still on time for work even though he was sick,
he will be missed but gethis movies while you cann before they are gone or go to blue ray -- a must own dvd

I have been an unconditional Swayze fan ever since I saw his performance in City of Joy and North and South -- LAST YEAR! (And I am 72 years old!) I therefore have all his films on DVD. I had to see The Beast, and purchasing the DVD was the best way to do that.
